George B. Thompson 

George B. Thompson is managing partner of Thompson Wealth Management (TWM), a Registered Investment Advisory firm. With more than 20 years in the financial industry, he formed TWM in 2005 to offer a broad range of financial planning and investment management services to individuals, corporations, and organizations. George holds the following securities registrations Series 6, 7, 63, 65 and 24 as well as Life/Health/Disability Insurance licenses.

Prior to entering the financial industry George spent 6 years in telecommunication sales exceeding sales goals and winning numerous awards and accolades for his accomplishments. In 1997, George joined Smith Barney Planned Services/Copeland as a retirement planning specialist and became one of the company's top producers. From 1998 - 2005 he joined Smith Barney (SB) as a financial advisor, quickly became a top producer again, and was sought after to train new hires and share best practices. During his tenure at Smith Barney, from 2002-2005 he also managed the SB investment centers inside Broadway Federal Bank branches in Los Angeles, CA.

George's life mission is to help people from all walks of life achieve their personal and financial goals. He is the author of Millionaires in Training: The Wealth Builder, Set-4-Life: The Diary of a Champion, co-author of The Total Package: The Keys to Acquiring Wealth and Walking in Divine Health and his latest, the Wealth Cycle.

He's been featured in Black Enterprise Magazine; On Wall Street, a financial industry magazine "Tough Times, Tough Brokers" and listed in Amazing Brokers for 2002, Los Angeles Daily News, and other print media. He has also appeared on a myriad of TV programs including WB's, "Making It - Minority Business Success Stories", Emmy Award nominated, KLCS "In Focus", BET's Award Winning "Teen Summit", CNNfn, and was a regular contributor on "It's A New Day" on V100, a Radio-One network! He is the recent recipient of the Steven L. Coffey Award which is a high honor given to advisors who best reflect a legacy of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to client service.

His professional affiliations include the National Speakers Association of Los Angeles where he holds bronze, silver, and gold microphone pins and 2006 “Connie Contest” winner for excellence in communicating a three-minute timed speech. He is a former National Sales Association (NSA) Los Angeles board member (2004-2007), treasurer for the National Urban League Young Professionals (2004-2007) and Los Angeles Urban League Young Professional (2003-2005). He currently serves as Treasurer for the U.S. Volleyball Team.

A graduate of Pepperdine University, George holds a B.A. in Business Communications and a Professional Designation in Personal Financial Planning from U.C.L.A. From 1988-1991, he was the starting setter for volleyball powerhouse Pepperdine University and earned a gold medal at the 1991 Olympic Festival. George currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with his children and wife Kimberley.
